In a jealously preserved environment, on the doorstep of the Mercantour National Park, VALBERG is a pretty SUMMER/WINTER resort in the Alpes-Maritime region, situated 86km, about 1 hour, from NICE and its international airport, and basking in the sun of the Côte d'Azur.

IN SUMMER VALBERG is :

• the destination of the inhabitants of the Riviera coast, in search of fresh air and cool summer nights
• "nature" walks and hikes in the Mercantour National Park
• the realm of children aged from 3 to 97 where they can explore the “Les Oursons” (Little Bears) nature trail. Rotating signs, particularly suited to young children, relate mountain life through superb drawings where a bear explores the forest flowers and animals.
• The Croix du Sapet chairlift takes walkers and mountain bikers to the summits, where they can explore more remote paths or simply walk to Lake Senateur.

WINTER in VALBERG is :
 

• Parc des Oursons, situated opposite the holiday village, ideal for leaning to ski, on a magnificent site, sheltered from the dangers of the busier ski slopes.
• Quality skiing - the resort, with 320 days of sunshine a year, and situated at 1700m altitude, has 309 snow cannons which can cover 85% of the skiable slopes with snow when necessary.
• 53 alpine ski slopes, totalling 90km, spread out as follows : • 11 green, • 14 blue, • 22 red, • 6 black.
• 22 modern ski lifts, including : • 16 ski tows, • 6 chairlifts
• A Snow Park, with background music, where thrill seekers can have a go at ski or snowboard jumps : jumps, ramps, half-pipe, etc
• Cross-country skiing with 25km of track set trails in the heart of the larch forests (3 circuits).
• Snow shoeing, away from the stress of the "downhill fanatics", along a 10km track set trail surrounded by nature.
